Today, the BCCLAC is the oldest active black or African American chamber of commerce in the City of Greater Los Angeles and one of the oldest in the 88 cities of Los Angeles County. The BCCLAC is not affiliated with any other Black or African American chamber. However, the BCCLAC is a partner with the Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles County (www.losangelescountychamber.org).

Since its inception, the BCCLAC has responded to the issues affecting the Black/African American community and has received wide recognitionfor the outstanding achievements of it's members. Additionally, the BCCLAC is associated with the California Employment Development Department, Small Business Employer Advisory Committee since 1995, Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles County and the Conress of Racial Equality (C.O.R.E.).
